4/15/09 Mon. May [[unclear]] day was [[unclear]] the name of David Wright from the report of their doings from the [[unclear]] They came from Walker, late in the afternoon of the 14th [[unclear]]. It seems that they must have been drinking heavily and also have had a good supply in their packs. As they had come in from the sugar camp for supplies and loaded up with boose. David Wright was a bad boozer any time. Kay-tuck. was not so much addicted to liquor. The ones turning of a lamp is the probable cause of the fire and the drunken [[unclear]] in which Wright probably was at the time left him a helpless victim. Kay-tuck had evidently tried hard to get out as he was in the kitchen near the Door and being weak lunged. No doubt was easily suffocated  by the smoke and fell before he could make the door.
