Ch. to use their Ch. during rebuilding. Fri. July 2. fair hot. a.m. finished mowing with scythe and spread and turned hay. opened out part of cocks. p.m. Joe plant beans at hill lot. rest of us to wood lot. Geo. mowed the timothy so that all our grass is cut. Raked that in orchard and put one load on wagon and cocked up rest. Eve. Lincoln Club. Election of officers. Letter from Harl at Minneapolis: engagement to Rena Goldsburg. surprise to all. New potatoes for dinner. Sat. 3 fair. hot fearfully. a.m. mowed away 1 load hay in barn.
