I met Mr Mason at Centralia yesterday morning. He is to be down again on Tuesday 26th, and very possibly I shall get away immediately thereafter. Then may have have to stop a week or so, some days at least in Chicago; and then Mr Mason spoke as if he might wish me to go to "Our folks" in New York City. But you may be sure I shall lose little time getting away to my Ettie. I have got pretty much tired of every thing else. You see by this letter I have got too lazy to even write decently! You see I keep Crosby as a Copyist for me lately, and so hardly try to write sometimes!
