My Dear Son have had a very great and good feast Saturday eve in shape of letters from Isaac & you. In regard to stockings & gloves I'm sorry I troubled you, with 'em you've got so many already - don't bother yourself with em send 'em back when you have a chance - The shirts we had better have sent to Iron Work perhaps - but no matter - I wish you'd tell once in a while how you are getting along in your affairs and how you enjoy your mind in your multiplicity of business - And Eliab what a very great addition it would be to my happiness if he would write frequently such letters as Isaac does he writes just as if he was willing I should know just what he is about, his condition, thoughts and feelings - We had a letter from Eliab last week with a valuable "lining" for which we feel very grateful shall let L take it I guess - I mean and want to return it to him again but really I don't see how I am going to get a cent to do it with this sever years but there is no knowing what may happen we have said never a word any of us since you were here about any settlement I don't know as there will ever be any but perhaps it is no matter. I shall have what I need doubtless some way or other

Tis but little here below nor long, in regard to Ann's plan it

seems as if it would be very pleasant to you all to have a home there - if Mr F takes L to Hamden perhaps A will think no more of her "plan" - But tho I am well enough off and contented as I am - I am willing to go in with A & Almeda too perhaps & do any thing I could little tho' it may be - If and provided you all think it best the greatest obstacle in the way of some such maneuver would be pride and extravagance but I know nothing about it - The pants we have made & if we can do them to suit would be glad to make as many more as you wish us to A. is smart and wants to do anything to get out of debt
