I am living [[ | I am living [[alway]] here in idleness like a pig in clover- wish I could be making shirts for you or doing some good for somebody. I go a shopping some sorely against my will tho' you know I had never hardly courage enough to go any where alone when I was younger but there is a necessity laid upon me now Lucy cant go out but Lucy really does seem to be getting well tho' very slowly Sam'l talks of buying a lot and building a house here Eliab did not know where he should go but had letters in abundance (of introduction) to many men in many Citys from Boston to N.Orleans I feel anxious about him I wish he could have gone with you to N.Y. & about 3 or 4 weeks & then home again. He needs more knowledge of Geography etc. but he will be getting some on his way I am some afraid he'll be sick he should have gone earlier or have waited till cool weather | ||
