My Dear Son Isaac
The spring is backward it looks cold and dreary here the ground was frozen considerably yester morn not withstanding we had on the table some very nice Radishes of Eliabs own raising (in a hot bed tho!) Mary & I have been to the Prayer Meeting. This morning Eliab's family have not been much for a week or two since the children have been sick - Lucy is considerably better but still so as to be in Annes lap all the time. Dear little Irving is quite sick yet does not set up at all except in the lap - He is so little it seems to me not near as big as Charlie - takes but very little solid food even when, he is well but drinks much milk. I don't think he will live many years there is nothing of him - but he knows
