Last week Saturday I did not get any letter from you; but on Tuesday Aug. 1st before I went North I did, your good letter of July 19th or 20th, written soon after you reached Dunbarton, and which I was anxious to get to learn of your prosperous journey & safe arrival at Dunbarton. I had before got a letter from Eliah mentioning that you had left Bangor. By Tuesday mail also I got a nice letter from Lucy with a little one from Maria also. I had slight hopes to get another from you today; but got no letter at all: though a fine lot of Newspapers including the Independent & a Congregational Herald.
