James is going down with Eric thought some of sending Lissie too but it is not convenient She would need considerable | James is going down with [[Eric?]] thought some of sending Lissie too but it is not convenient She would need considerable fixing- outside garment &c her clothes are quite comfortable for home but it is coming cold weather & she would need considerable additions -- It did'nt seem like home here especially the first few days, quite so much as I expected but I shall soon feel settled more and get along I suppose as usual - Did n't get my trunk home till Wednesday - got carpet down & fix'd a little Thursday | ||

Parker called here (on his way to the Village where he deliverd an excellent Lecture or Address on Manners & Morals of Schools) Almeda was here, he stopt to Tea, We were not in very excellent fix, but we had a real good | Wednesday Mr. W. Thursday afternoon there was a Donation Visit at Mr Everetts for Mr. Partridge!! of Mrs. Everett "getting up" the avails I presume were not great but substantial not Doughnuts | Thursday afternoon there was a Donation Visit at Mr Everetts for Mr. Partridge!! of Mrs. Everett "getting up" the avails I presume were not great but substantial not Doughnuts principally but such things as they could carry home & use, Some money (little) Dr. Shepher & wife came out with Mr. P. I had some talk with Mrs. Shepherd (she is not a great [[borday?]]) but she speaks very well of Mr. P seems to think he will get along nicely and, do good & is liked better than was expected & - I have wash'd my windows & window curtains &c. & colour'd my gloves, Took dinner at Almeda's Wednesday, on some of Eliab's game a rabbit, a squirrel a partridge & a Blue jay, down to the village in the Evening, Thursday afternoon to the Donation, dont you think I've |
