Thursday June 5 1879 Went on Train reached Walla Walla at 11 A.M. took stage for Waitsburg & footed it to Bartges' Friday June 6 1879 Saturday June 7 1879 Bartges took Hack and went with me to the Cabin in the timbered Mountains above Dayton Sunday June 8 1879 F.M. Newlin? returned with us and we went to Walla Walla to make proof on a Claim of land Monday June 9 1879 Proved up on claim. Newlin & Bartges were witnesses.
