I really wish you or someone else, would tell me what to do in the world.  I have, providence, willing , a life to spend & a living to  get, somehow, but I truly know nothing harder where. Pray who does,  It is certainly time I did.  It can hardly be the part of a reasonable man to decide on going through college now.

I suppose you are expecting a letter from me but I don't  knows as I shall be able tow rite you much I lam writing and and cannot have any thoughts to myself because of talking it seems more than ever to me that we are located in the corner of creation here all seems to be life and animation they are the mind for all ((unclear)) up the engines, is this very week surveying the rout for a railroad through this town.  The rout they are looking at how is part of uncle Jo, across the Rabbit farm and (Bimball Whitney?? sp) & Uncle Leonard, but these could be a great while about where it shall go Greenfield folk, say it shall go through that town  or not at all.  I am now at  My 'Gabes ((unclear))' in Ball backs, the school on the brok George Greensbro' (grandson) is a small merchant has a store in the middle of the  town.

It is ridiculous for me to be so poor.  Too bad for a person of my abilities!  reputation! & Intrinsic worth!  To teach school for $16 dolls per month.  Especially as a tremendous hard school as this.
