or rather about five o'clock this morning. One of the largest dry goods store in the place was burned and most of the business part of the city was in great danger. They have a steam fire engine which they got only got only a few months ago - if it were not for that there would probably have been a very distructive fire. If they had had one when the college burned they think they could have saved it. How do the plants get along?I suppose the rose has bloomed and faded. Tell us about the plants when you write, and send a leaf or two just to smell. The trains are quite irregular now for some time. The eastern train, due here about 11 AM, is 4 hours late today.
