Bob Nickson did not go fishing as the man who was going with him, backed out and Nickson was at Young's cigar store a good deal of the day and evening. John [[unclear]] said that he was so lazy and tired that some times he felt that he should go to work, if it was only to saw wood. Opr went around to the different saloons and through the streets but did not see any of the men drunk or disorderly. Mears said he intended to go to La Crosse where Jack [[Sparron?]] is, but he has not
