Monday the 31st Aunt Julia + I called for Mrs. Buchanan who very kindly offered to assist us in our purchases we succeed in doing what we expected. Then after taking Mrs. B-- home Mrs. Bathurst +ventured to the Hotel for the rest of the party + we all went to the galeria imperiale which we had only time to walk through thence to dinner after which we had a nice but short walk + a nice long drive. Dined after at Mrs. Buchanans with Dr. + Mrs. Bankhead, Mr. Erskine, Mr. T Scott, a Mr. Webster, Mrs. Bathurst + my Brother -- after 2 misses Backhous came + Mrs. White besides some others the evening pleasant | |||
