Dear John, Will you not write and let us know particularly how Sarah and the baby are and how you all are?  When was baby born?  Frank's letter was quite too short.  I am sorry you have been so uneasy about that $3.00.  I ought to have acknowledged it sooner than I did.  I hope you have had my letter tho' now that I shall soon hear from you what things to send.  I had to give 20 cts each for rennets.  That is what farmers here get for those of deaconed calves mother think those we were getting from Uncle will be much better.  They were dried last Summer. Last Tuesday John P. Jones (H. P. Jones' son) was buried.  He died in the hispital in Washington and yesterday father attended the funeral of another young soldier, John Hughes.  Friday last, Morris, the youngest son of John R. Griffiths was buried.  There have been a great many deaths about here the past year.  We are in usual health.  Sister Jennie
