it grew windy and like a storm and all night it stormed hard and yesterday, especially in the morning. _ It was so bad that I gave up the idea of going with father to the funeral and Robbie went to drive - but when they got as far as Mr. Pugh's he told father that it was not possible for him to go so they turned back - Lewis brought the children up there in the morning and he and Jane started to go to Penymysing (sic?) - when they got to Mr. Pugh's he went with them as far as Rob. Hughes thinking to go up with Lewis and leave Jane at RH. Hughes' - but they gave up and Mr. Pugh went home to watch and tell father that there was no use in trying to go.
