bear. When I think that my dear mother is gone from us, I try to picture to myself her present happy condition, and then I feel recconciled to my loss. She had passed her eighty seventh birthday, and had suffered much, in the earlier portion of her life. Her last days were peaceful, though underlined: disease assailed her many years ago, and finally conquered. She had no desire to live, but said "God's will be done", and now she is "asleep in Jesus"! We miss her dear, sweet face and gentle presence, but would not call her back, for worlds. One of her last injunctions to me was, to "do all the good, you can for the time is so short". Oh what a comfort it is to know that our friends underlined: die in the Lord , and so are safe
