Gaines, I understand that it was his intention, to make ware on the Seminoles within the Spanish boundary, he has, however, been prohibited from doing so, without special orders from this Department; but he has been authorized to remove all the Indians from the land ceded by the treaty made by Genl. Jackson in August 1814. If therefore, this order (in the execution of which a direction is left with Genl.
