Cloudy but mild & pleasant Paid QM on account $20.00 Am feeling well considering the dissipation of last night Rode up town & called upon Mrs Grove.She seems bound to be unfortunate with trouble & is in trouble again here. Genl [[Choudes?]] having taken her furnitures & bedding Wrote letters to Lib & Home.

Thursday, 10.   Cloudy but mild & pleasant   Paid QM on account $20.00   Am feeling well considering the dissipation of last night   Rode up town & called upon Mrs Grove.   She seems bound to be unfortunate [[unclear]] into trouble & is in trouble again here.   Genl Chambers having taken her furniture & bedding   Wrote letters to Lib & Home.
  Mild & pleasant__ in camp all day  doing nothing__ Dr. Horton came back to night & he brought Ben with him The Major of the 90th NY Reg & me spent the evening together in my tent. Firing heard to day down the river _- Hear nothing but good news__
