Wednesday May 26, 1875 This has been a lovely day. all of us well I received a dispatch from Ada that she would not be here in the morning. I went to see Belle found her out at Mifs Brainards Concert. I met Mrs Rand at Belle's house. Mrs Harvey and Belle came up after supper to see us, I went out driving with Eva to day, she not well, Duretta who was so ill with Dropsy. was at Bell's quite well. Thursday May 27, 1875
Wednesday May 26, 1875 This has been a lovely day. all of us well I received a dispatch from Ada that she would not be here in the morning. I went to see Belle found her out at Miss Bruinwels Concert. I met Mrs Rand at Belle,s house. Mrs Harvey and [[note left margin: Duretta May 27]] Belle came up after supper to see us, I went out driving with Eva to day, she not well, Duretta who was so ill with Dropsy. was at Belle,s quite well. Thursday May 27, 1875 This has been a lovely day. all of us well. Belle came up and brought her baby. they are quite well, they think of keeping Duretta at their home to live with them. Mr & Mrs Leiter left at five [[note left margin: Mrs Leiter X ]] for New York, and sail for Europe in a few days she took her three children with her and Mrs [[blank]] as Nurse. they will be gone many months Dr Locke called to see me, so did Mrs Edson Keith, at seven O,clock we had sharp shower and at half past seven Mr Badger and I went to the Matteson House to a tea party given by [[note left margin: Mrs Jillette]] Mrs Jillette, who leaves for Europe in June Mrs Chas J Haines called  Friday May 28th, 1875  This morning was sunny but windy, all of us [[note left margin: Belle had) years married]] well, this is the Anniversary of Belle,s wedding just two years, this afternoon a very sharp storm of rain came up and prevented me going to Belle,s [[note left margin: my Mother very ill]] house, news from Louisville to night say Mother is still ill, so I have telegraphed at once Ada is in Louisville, my Eva not at all well. Saturday May 29, 1875 This has been a beautiful sunny day. all of [[note left margin: dispatch Ma better]] us well, but Eva, she is very uncomfortable A dispatch from my home in Louisville says that Ma is better and Ada and Mattie will leave to day for Chicago, I ordered my Carriage and went to see Belle, took her with me to do some shopping Miss Bickford called to see Ada.
