My boys out sleigh riding. after lunch I went to dancing school with Hunt. then to see Mrs Leiter for a little while at five Oclock, Mr Badger and I went to Belle,s to dine spent a pleasant evening. it was Charley,s thirteenth birthday. Sunday March 7, 1875. This has been a lovely day. all of us well. I went to church with Sheridan Shreve and Tommy. Ada walked down with Mr Crocker. to church, after church I went to see how Mrs Hilton was. she has been ill, but is now better. Then I went to Belle,s and stayed to dinner Mr Badger came for me in the sleigh, Eva and Mr Angell out on X on a drive, This is my Father,s birthday he is 77 years old Monday March 8, 1875 A bright sunny day. warm and beautiful. but heaps of snow every where. all of us well. Ada gone sleighing with Tom in our sleigh, and later in the afternoon she went with George Meeker. Belle and Mr Harvey took supper with us after ten Mr Angell Eva Mr Badger and myself all went to the Theatre on the West Side to see Raymond act in the play of Tellard?. It was most excellent. Mrs Kelly & daughter called to day. who live on Calumet. Teusday March 9th 1875 This has been a mild day. snow melting. Sleighs still running all of us well. Mrs & Miss Markley called to day. So did Miss Goodwin Mr & Mrs Leiter called to see us after tea and we were out Belle came up and spent the day, and Mr Harvey came to tea also. Mrs Hilton my Sisterinlaw is quite ill. I sent for Dr Small to see Hunt who is not well in his bowels but he did not come. Wednesday March 10th 1875 Another mild day but damp. all of us well. We received a letter from Pa and Tom got one from Uncle David after lunch I went down town with my Eva Ada & Hunt then called on Belle, she had cold as was in bed and had sent for the Doctor. George Meeker called this evening to see Ada. Mrs Adams called but did not get in Thursday March 11, 1875 It is very damp this entire day. Ada gone to Hopsons to get a new bonnet. all of us well. Belle came up and spent the day. but had a bad headache and laid down all the day ill. Mr Harvey came in his Carriage for her, I went down and took tea with them.
