The most of of them I think having lain here during a portion of the night. Genl Smiths Division. Had the monthly inspection & afterward a review—passed off very creditably. Tuesday, 6. Windy dusty & rather unpleasant. [Unclear] annoying camp grounds & putting up new tents. Learned that Northridge & [[unclear]] had been ordered out the lines by Genl Thomas. Good!! Wrote a letter to Mrs. Mary Walker Brockport NY & Rec'd one likewise. Was down to the Meagher place for flowers |
