Sunday July 26th 1863.


It is a lovely day -- we are all well -- thank our Heavenly Father Miss Adele Flint called to take me to church with her -- we went to Bishop Whitehouse,s on the West Side -- children went with their Father to Mr Thomas,s.  Mr Bigelow dined with us.  also BrackettAlbert Walter & Willie Heiskell  Mr Badger at home for a wonder on Sunday afternoon.  Father Badger here also -- I wrote to my Brother Joe --

This is a pretty day -- I went down town with Alice and bought Some goods for Licinia --returned home late with headache Alice & Florence here -- on Teusday 28 I went calling -- went to see Mrs Cannon.  Mrs Smith. Miss Nowlin. at ten O. clock our bell rang, and much to the surprise of all my Sister Mrs Faulds husband & Mattie & James all arrived at our house -- we were delighted  Mattie looks very badly --

at seven this morning David left our house for New York.  all seem tired after their journey here -- I went down street a little.  stopped in to see Licinia -- she getting better

This is my Husbands birthday -- we all very well -- I went visiting -- called to see Mrs Trabue  Mrs Ely -- Mrs Robb -- Mrs Chittenden -- Mrs McVicker.  Mrs Flint -- Mrs Brown -- Mrs Pitney then came home took all the children -- went tot he Office for Mr Badger and we all went out to call on Mr[[s?]] Heiskell at Father Badgers.  returned home late.

It is very warm to day -  we are all suffering with the heat    at four Sister Virginia & children went out riding -  at six Mr Badger myself and all the children went out to Father Badgers to a Pic.Nic.  we returned at eleven O. clock.

It is again intensely warm.  Mr Badger gone to Sunday school  I went to Grace Church to hear Mr Locke preach -  I enjoyed his sermon.  after church took a ride with friends who brought me home.  went to see Licinia a few moments.  Mr Thomas here to dinner - he is Mr Badger's minister.  at four it rained severely - which cooled the air.  Father Badger and Mr Heiskell called
