Saw Mr. Buckner in the morning. Bro in law to Frank Blair. Lost $300,000 by the rebellion and not through yet. Called at the Maroney house. Mr. Marroney came in released his stock. Wednesday 12 | Wednesday, 12. Negroes came to lines & reported that the rebels were in the vicinity of Richmond & threatened an attack Sent out scouts. Saw a few but reports contradictory. Rec'd letter from Sherman. ieut Thomas came up today. Dr. Fitch came last night. No important news from any quarter. | ||

Fleetwood died to day Had in his possession money belonging to Mr. Walker Lessee of plantation which was delivered to me $3000.00 and a little small money beside Fleetwood had Silver $3570 Green Backs $11.00 Confed $478.00 which was left with the man who was with him | ||
