[Time?], arrows and weapons of warfare. The usual time of going to war either spring or fall. Their [shirl?] was made of hickery and about the same amount [shil?]. Their breast plate was made of of the thickest part of buffalo hide,.  This was fixed so as to cover the forepart of the body.

Warriors wore a band of tough leather of Buffalo skin round their heads with red feathers stuck in it. They had also the same kind of skin on the left arm from the wrist to the elbow, to prevent the bow string from hurting the arm. Name Ane tau ski lo.
  Anciently the feathers were glued on the arrows. Their war clubs were made of sycamore; & consisted of a large round ball, with a handle which was tied to the wrist. This is called A ta su.
