Wrote a line to Miss Eliza at [[hospital?]] White Plains, N.Y. Recommended an asst Surg for Rg. Had Battalion drill. Works are in a forward state | ||
Tuesday, 23. Genl Dennis sent for me about 2 AM having come up from below. He apprises us of a movement on part of rebels toward this place -- Youngs Point. Crisis has come down there. | |||
