Tuesday, 16. Forenoon warmMarine Brigade left.  Before left Genl Ellet sent for me   called upon him - pleasant man.  Shower in afternoon and cooler afterward. Rode around to some of the picket posts.  called on Mrs. [[Graves?]] and heard her complaints of which she had not a few.  Place a guard at her house.
