exactly how hat it was here last Monday and yesterday it was even warmer. At noon yesterday it was very near 100. The weather in this section of Texas is most pleasant, except for an occasional cold spell, which is known as a "norther." When the wind from the gulf of Mexico swings to the north, the temperature drops but the coldest it has been this winter was 26 degrees and I want to tell you that we nearly froze, the sudden change from the nice balmy weather to below freezing sending us hunting for shelter.
