Miss Susane Ballard went to the Catholic Church with Miss Donevan and Miss [[blank]] she enjoyed the music, Adele, Mr Ballard and miss Fanny & Bland. Jr. all went to the Catholic Church, Mrs Shreve, Mr Badger and I staid at home, Thomas W. Shreve came from New York and spent the day with his Mother and Sister, left for New York at four, After supper Mr Badger Miss Susane Ballard, Bland. Jr. Mr Ballard and Adele all went to the Casino to hear Mr Donevan sing Elbert went to the Wilsons & Casino, When all returned from Casino, we had Crackers and Ginger Ale. Adele Ballard is a fine housekeeper. and a good manager with her servants they all like her so much. that she can ask them to do things, out of their line, or give up their day, to her, and they do it most willingly. So late at night, we always had refreshments, sometimes we numbered over fifteen, and of course used many plates and glasses, but we never heard any complaints. | ||
