Wednesday, 20.  Pleasant day though the night are quite cold.  Reported very currently & generally believed that our forces have taken Norris Bluff with a good many prisoners    Rec'd notices of appointments of officers of the Regiment    Our colored family learn to day  Several boats went down to night
