With the daily insults of Plunderers, Murders, and Assassins, who would rob us of our lives, religion, & liberty. I am sorry to observe that you are of the unhappy number, who have violaters of the laws of our Realm.
You have appealed to be tried by God and your Country, your country has found you guilty of the several crimes, of wch you are severally accused; and the Law thererby deems you as unfit members of society, and that you might be cut off from the community, as persons acting below the dignity of human nature, and thereby not fit to live upon earth. - Pity draws a tear of compassion from me to look on you, as the same original dust with myself; as having all of you immortal souls, wch [w]ill never die, but will survive and live, either [i]n happiness or misery after departure from the body. And here I desire you will observe, [t]hat the powers of darkness will now during that [s]hort time you have to live, struggle to deceive [y]ou, and to tell you there is no life beyond the [g]rave, that there is no great day of reckoning
