In the afternoon Mr Bush called and took tea with us. He is assessing taxes [[unclear]] called and made us a present of some fresh fish which was delightful he brought us a part of a fish that weighed 30 lbs. This afternoon Caroline and Washington took a bushel basket and went out to gather flowers after they came back I arranged 11 Pitchers or mugs full after [[Five?]] Mr Randall called with Mr Foster a young gent from Rockford.
