Provincetown, Oct 19th 1862 Dear Bro N. & Sister Abby: It is very long since I wrote you last, how long I am unable to say & why I have neglected, I do not know, only because, I have been dilatory in all my duties. I have the first two weeks been answering all the unanswered letters in my writing case, but I found none from either of you but remembered I was included with the others last winter in your letters. I neglected to write you with Sarah then, thinking I would write you soon & wrote to David then, but till now have not set myself about writing you. Now I am unable to direct to you but thought I would write and send to Mr. Weaver
[written along the left-hand side] and pay $9.00 for board & washing & ironing extra - which I don't think pays I have always felt vexed that I did not visit you as I came on from the West but I had no idea of staying and waited tell I returned. Do you remember the folks here? They remember you. Mrs. Hilliard says she shall the P.M. you & Mr. Allen took tea with her how much you all laughed - Is this not the queerest place & yet the people are real good - I should like to see you all & Eddie particularly - Ask him if remembers Aunt Lillie's singing to him? I feel anxious to hear from Jesse & Myron & suppose I shall hear from Myron through Julia soon shall be glad to hear from you both when convenient.
