I bought two of the Franklin Square Library ( 20 cents Each ) when at Paola. One is the Autobiography of James Nasmyth Engineer edited by Samuel Smiles. I like it very much as far as I have read it. His Father was a painter ( portrait and landscape ) Alexander by name. When a young man he was invited to a party and made arrangements for his girl to go with.
