    But Mr Kendall, let me, now, introduce to you, my dear Br. Charles!! Kind Providence has been watchful over him, and saved him from many dangers, during the last seven years, and at last  permitted him to return one more to his friends & “Native Home”.  He landed in New York, May 24th. (my birthday) & arrived home the 26th. Oh! My friend, I can not express to you the joy, that meeting gave us! My Mother was so overcome, she would have sunk to the ground, had not that dear son supported her. We appointed a Thanksgiving Day!  And the fatted turkey was killed, & brought, and placed upon the table, with many other good fruits of the land, & all the children & grand-children gathered together & partook of them. We did no forget in all our joy, to thank the Great Giver of so much happiness.  My Br’s health has been very poor, since his return, but I think he is gradually becoming acclimated, & I hope ere long, he will be quite well again.
They are well and also my sister’s family. I intended this letter I should have been mailed Thurs
    Mr. Kendall, I am very sorry to hear that you have been so unwell, the past summer. — In Mary’s letter, you spoke of visiting New York, and trying the treatment of Cold Water upon your system. You may receive benefit by so doing; but I have very little faith in the Cold Water System, especially, in cases like yours. “Inhalation” may benefit you, if it be not “Damp Air” you inhale. Should you visit N.Y. I hope you may be able to visit us also.
