mountain it excelled any place I have yet seen for flowers & beautiful trees I would like to live here saw 15 or 20 beautiful flowers &c just befor we came into camp we had a thunder shower - it fell in sheets the hardest I ever saw in 15 minutes torrents were running down the mountain like rivers of lava it was flat where we hauled up but the water was running a foot deep all over the ground after the rain we drove to a little valley where there was good feed & as it happened one of the best springs in the country was there which made a beautiful camping ground ground very fertile Dis. -21- Drov[crossed out] 962 Thurs 21st Drove 10 miles & nooned 1 mile from Bear River - Crossed B.R. it is clear as a chrystal cold & filled with large pebble stones, 18 inches is the depth of the water its banks were completely lined with good Strawberries I did not go to the Tar
