Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, & thy backsliding shall reprove thee. Know therefore & see that it is an evil thing & bitter that thou hast forsaken t Lord thy GoD, & that my fear is not in thee, saith t. Lord GoD of Hosts. When t. fear of GoD is not in men, they go on without him, in their schemes, & they cannot prosper. If they begin, in rebellion & falsehood, they must depend upon falsehood & rebellion to carry them out, but at length their iniquities appear to their shame & confusion, and they must lie down in sorrow & shame. In t. close of this discourse Let us my friends solemnly consider, the Horrible state of those, to whom God shall sware in his wrath, they shall never enter into his rest.
