Jones, private in Captain Ropes' Company, twenty first regiment, United States Infantry –––––– War 1812 –––––––– has been returned to the General Land Office, with evidence that the same has been duly located upon the North half of the Northeast quarter of section six in township six, North, of range nine, East, and the South half of the Southeast quarter of section thirty one, in township seven, North, of range nine, East, in the District of Lands subject to sale at Palestine, Illinois, containing one hundred and fifty eight acres, and ninety eight hundredths of an acre ––––––––– According to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land Office, by the Surveyor General,_________________ Now Know Ye, that there is therefore granted by the United States unto the said Constant B. Jones __________ the tract of Land above described: to have and to hold the tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said Constant B. Jones, and to his heirs and assigns forever.
