Ohio, none of them being known bi(?) us. (?) hard all (?) Afternoon, & we did not get off until near sun-down. When the Capt. concluded to go through the Canal. but spent all night getting through as one large boat and several each barges (?) ahead of us. 21st Passed one pleasant (crossed out) pretty looking town today (?) Rockort but as it rained hard all day we did not have a good opportunity for sight seeing dancing to night till 11 oclock music furnished by negro musicians,
