Nothing is more pleasing to the malice of those wicked Spirits then to see [illegible] wrong'd. It is an od passage which I find the [underlined: Acta Erridisozzi?] printed at [illegible] that about thirty two two years ago an Indigent Merchant at Lyons in France was instructed by a Demon that with water of [Borang?] he might colour  [illegible] so as to cause them to glisten and look very gay.  See [illegible] to the[illegible] causes and reasons of things - whereby he is able to produce wonderfull effects.  So that if he doth not form the shape of [illegible] personal afflicting [illegible] it is not for want of either will or power.  They that affirm that God never did or ever will permit him thus to doe all [illegible] that is inconsistent, with [illegible].
