It is true that Captain Smiter, might have been more, careful, and discreet in the choice of words, and in a milder manner manifested the dislike of himself and men, for the ford which he and they failed to find satisfactory or palatable, but knowing him, as I do, it is evident to me that he did not intend to be disrespectful. | ||
