I also stated in my letter that General Hazen has written to Major Roy (Nov. 7) requesting that I might be authorized to remain here a while to assist Gen. H. in getting started in his work. I now enclose a copy of Gen'l. Hazen's letter to Major Roy. Gen'l. H. left this place on Thursday to go to Arbuckle, and took my letter to you to mail there.
