My dear Alice, The mail came in this morning but brought nothing from you and only a short note from Maj. Woodward & one from Col Rockwell dated the 15th & I presume brought this to Arbuckle by Mr. Vincent Cole who arrived at that post on Wednesday the 24th. I am informed by Maj Roy that he left there yesterday in company with Gen Hazen for this point - I also received a letter from Capt.
