     Naomi, I am not among those who believe it can't happen again.  I think it can.  And if it does happen again, it will be the American Jews to whom it will happen, and conceivably in your lifetime.  And to you.  I have no easy answers.  Sometimes I don't even know how to ask the right questions.
    About the only thing I can [[crossed out:  tell]]  suggest to you is you [[crossed out:  damn well better]] should never forget who you are.  You are a Jew, the child of Jews, who in turn are the children of Jews...and should you want to forget, the world won't let you.  The remembrance of that may not save your life...but it will your people.

    Naomi, I am not among those who believe it can't happen again.  I think it can.  And if it does happen again, it will be the American Jews to whom it will happen, and conceivably in your lifetime.  And to you.   I have no easy answers.  Sometimes I don't even know how to ask the right questions.
