We do have real traditions & one hell of a literature in this country - recently reading Mark Twain who is SO thoroughly American & at his best practically invented the American language | Hope it goes fairly well with yr anthology. We do have real traditions & one hell of a literature in this country - recently reading Mark Twain who is SO thoroughly American & at his best practically invented the American language - and we will continue to have one - if the kids stop beating their heads against NYC walls & go in for rolling their own smokes --- offset & vanity pe processes make cheap limited circulation publication much easier, I suspect. But that's no longer my concern. | ||

Hope it goes fairly well with yr anthology. It does sound like a good idea. We do have real traditions & one hell of a literature in this country - recently reading Mark Twain who is SO thoroughly American & at his best practically invented the American language - and we will continue to have one - if the kids stop beating their heads against NYC walls & go in for rolling their own smokes --- offset & vanity pe processes make cheap limited circulation publication much easier, I suspect. But that's no longer my concern.
