Dear Jack.  [[triple underline:  You]] may be the Rev. Jack TOOTS Conroy but you now have  2 rivals besides E. Stanley Jones and Billy Graham, the white house Evangelist.  I allude to Rev. Wm Stracke [[dotted line arrow pointing to right edge of paper:  over]] and Rabbi/Rev Studs Terkel.

On Aug 15 (feast of Mary's Assumption) I went to Mass and Communion with the true believers at ST. Clement's  - and then to the Memorial Service for Sally Griffith, 24.
We had a black organist, Studs and [[?]] and hymn #419 "O god of Earth and Altar" - word by G. K. Chesterton!
Aug. 15 was Napoleon's 201st. birthday.  Like Chesteron, he died Catholic.
    If you had told me when I was 21 (1928) I'd be in a Presbyterian Chapel on Assumption Day with any intention other than arson I would have thought you demented.
