I had just written to Jennie & Cynthia that I had not heard from home and that I was afraid I wouldn't hear as often now they were gone, but I was glad to know you had taken up the pen. We are sorry that the memorial sermon had not been appointed a week or two later so that we might be there but as it is we cannot. Your welcome letter was reced. Wednesday eve. I was very glad to hear from you.
