We are now out of the Muddy part of the country & the miasma of the low lands & are regaled with Southern or Gulf breezes. Camped 2 ½ miles more in a small prairie having good grass - No Mosquitos fresh S. breezes - but myriads of fire flies, like so many sparkling gems - caught some of them - It is a long fly & the^ interior of the hinder part can be illuminated at pleasure & of a brilliant bluish white color - | ||
