it was not all a failure. | it was not all a failure. Last night it came off. We had a full house although it was snowing and rather unpleasant to be out. About $64 was taken. I wish you could have been here to see us come into the church and seat ourselves on the stage. One of the ladies [[missing word]] a bridal silk dress, fifty years old, with only two breadths and a gore in the skirt and only about five inches of waist. There were three silk bridal dresses in all. And then the head dresses and bonnets were quite as ridiculus as those of the present day. The hair was not combed with the huge puffs in front of modern style but it had the waterfall reversed &c. | ||

it was not all a failure. Last night it came off. We had a full house although it was snowing and rather unpleasant to be out. About $64 was taken. I wish you could have been here to see us come into the church and seat ourselves on the stage.
