Mrs. Huff Agency phoned today & said the Calif. job was filled but that the supt. was keeping my papers because he was interested and might have another 5th grade opening in Dec. for me. I feel that I'll have a job in either Calif. or N.Y. state in a month or two- surely by the new term in Feb. Doug found an advertisement for a correspondence course in Speedwriting in his Pop. Mech. Mag. which I intend to investigate. If I move from Missoula, it would suit my purposes more than a tutor in Gregg. | |||
Today I finally received my summer grades. Both Feidler & Algren gave me A's. I was sure they had something in common. | |||
[[left margin]] I've written to 11 NY agencies and shall register with the first 2 or 3 that send me papers promptly. The agency I had seen said they could guarantee me a job by Feb. mid-term. | |||
