I will pre fix bosoms to your shirts 'coidin to the best of my ability. Do you want any new bosoms made before you go to Brunswick? or collars? I don't know how many pr. of wristbands to make. Frost to either. I tell him if Alfred Holman was not in his way, he would be for making love to her right off. By the way, prey tell us, who is that Susannah for whom you felt so sorry, because she had a headache? eh? Be not alarmed on account of my sillyness - this is only an outbreak occasioned by Joe's remarks t'other night. Almeida gets along pretty comfortably. She has four boarders, besides Joseph, Ira Keen ( to do chores) & Mehitable Patten, who had a fracus with her father last week & left him, so A. took her to work for her board & go to school. Patten has treated Mr. Lee shamefully. He has run away with his horse again to Bucksport. Mr. Lee says he will leave his house within a week. They have refered their settlement business to Messrs. Haskell Kitredge & Noah Dow. Joseph visited Chadbourn's school last Sat. He got J.'s opinion on certain words in the passing lesson, beforehand. He told him about his Arithmetical troubles with John Furber. You see John, (especially with his father to help him) is a little to bright for Chadbourn. Mr. C. considered that they rather insulted him by sending him sums to do, and asked Jo what he wanted do about it. J. told him he would do all the Maj. sent him, & send back some that he Furber couldn't do! Was'nt Joseph pretty complete for giving advice? I have got nearly through the 24th Section in Algebra - two sections farther than I went last spring.
